The only person who said that the government is going to use the information is Corsi. Did he give examples of any such programs elsewhere where the GOVERNMENT is involved, or indicate how any government authorities expressed interest? That's how he makes a living - by alarming people who don't do any further homework.

Go ahead and read about the test programs in other places.

The technology is a means to do a more thorough and accurate energy use assessment that utilities already do. It is a technology to be used by utilities and their customers. Utility based energy audits are voluntary, as you know. However, if a private party sees what appliances or systems (heating, etc) are consuming in terms of electricity, then the individual could make some choices.

The utilities currently have a system in place - so did we for transportation when we used horses and buggywhips. If the horse and buggywhip was already in use, then why should we have had to do allow anything to change, right?

Anyway, VMH, kindly show me where there is any information coming from government agencies, officials, or Google, that indicates that the government is interested. You'll find none. Corsi is a fear-monger, at least in this case.

Perstare et praestare. Per aspera ad astra.
