honey is better for you than white sugar, but sugar is still sugar.
That's where a lot of people make a mistake, a food item will say SUGAR FREE what that means is, no WHITE sugar, there are many other kinds of sugar, honey, fructose, pretty much anything that ends in ose, except for cellulose, that's a binding agent.
If you have sugar problems, you really have to read the labels.
