That is correct, but once pot is legalized it will be taxed at both the state and federal level, and shift the focus from a world war on drugs to a smaller tax collection battle.

The point is it won't destroy the criminal element totally if legalized, but it sure will reduce that element greatly.
I'm sure what you say is true, but i'd rather have some stoner paying taxes than me.
