The military has cracked down hard on drug use, my understanding is you test hot ONCE, you're out on your ear. I taught high school 1981-1986, trying to teach students who come to school high is an absolute waste of time and energy, drug testing of both students and teachers who use drugs and exposing them to scorn and ridicule and humiliation would do a lot more to improve public education than billions of dollars in added spending. I know a couple who lost one of their daughters-5 months pregnant-to a stoned driver. They'll be happy to talk to you.
Regulate it? I thought conservatives and libertarians weren't that keen on government regulation?

stoned on what? I can tell from personal experience, that a driver stoned on pot  is only driving about 25 mph, I did it once, I was so paranoid about it, I never did it again.
People stoned on booze or hard drugs or  a mixture are the ones to look out for, most stoners stay home, they're too easy to spot on the road, they're the ones doing 25 mph in a 60 zone.
You're right, the less govt the better, but there has to be some rules otherwise we have anarchy. We already have rules in place for booze, just extend it to drugs.
I agree with john, let the hard druggies od, that will solve a big problem. As for the loss of life, I guess it was just their time to go and they're in a better place.
