Reducing Costs: By removing hidden taxes, stressing prevention and a focus on efficiency and modernization, the plan will improve quality and lower costs.

If she removes the hidden taxes she will have to raise taxes someplace else. Wonder on whom, I feel the pain already.

Quote:
Strengthening Security: The plan ensures that job loss or family illnesses will never lead to a loss of coverage or exorbitant costs.

Standard political nonsense

Quote:
Insurance and Drug Companies: insurance companies will end discrimination based on pre-existing conditions or expectations of illness and ensure high value for every premium dollar; while drug companies will offer fair prices and accurate information

Cant wait to determine who decides what is a fair price.

Quote:
How will the unemployed afford insurance and what penalties will be imposed if you don't have insurance. I don't like this. The government is mandating how I spend my money.

Nationwide in states with mandatory auto insurance about 9% of the population dod not buy auto insurance. If you can not enforce the existing law how in the hell do you expect to enforce a new law.

So the cost of healthcare may actually go up for employers? Which does that mean taxes go up for that percent of Americans who actually pay taxes?

One of three things will happen, higher taxes, lower levels of benefits provided by companys, or higher co-pays

Quote:
Limit Premium Payments to a Percentage of Income: The refundable tax credit will be designed to prevent premiums from exceeding a percentage of family income, while maintaining consumer price consciousness in choosing health plans.

So the plan is to expand the tax code, I thought tax simplification was the goal.

Little Miss Hill talks about technology, she is correct you can reduce medical costs by using technology. What about the 2 million unemployed resulting form the technology, I suppose they get the free health care she is proposing. My guess is that these people would prefer a job to free health care. But that is liberal logic, dont sweat the small stuff you have free health care!
The natural progress of things is for liberty to yield and governmnet to gain ground.
