well, I just learned of something that happened to a very dear friend's grand-niece.
He was so upset, he could barely talk.
His niece went to pick up her 1 1/2 year old baby from the day care center, the baby's diaper was wet, so, she decided to change her before taking her home. When she opened the diaper, the diaper had blood in it. She immediately took the baby to her pediatrician, the doctor said, the baby had been sexually molested, and by law, he HAD to call CPS.
He did, they filed the report, and took the baby from the mother, they always assume that a family member molested the child, so, in case that was what happened, they remove the child from the parents and place it with foster care.
Fortunately, the baby's grandparents were awarded temporary custody, and the parents have visitation rights.
It is my friend's understanding, that this is for a 30 day period.
I realize we are to be presumed innocent until proven guilty, but, what if the parents were the molesters, do you really want to take the chance of leaving the child with them, while the case is investigated, I don't.
Those agencies, are like anything else in this world, they have some good people, and some bad, they aren't making up the rules, they're following them.
Taking the children while investigating, probably stemmed from so many cases of kids being left with the parents, and then the kids end up dead, or worse.
