I read this and I take two views on it....one, being from my beliefs, is that indeed Jesus warned us of changes that would begin to snowball before His return. The other has to do with something I read years ago & I forgot the exact wording, but someone was complaining about the rampant immorality in society and the high cost of living. The author, I believe, lived way back in the time of ancient Rome!

I also look at it this way -- my parent's generation was raised during the post-Depression/WW II era. People did not lead a life of instant gratification where everything has to be new, bigger, better, more, and NOW. People made much do of what they had and grew gardens to supplement the grocery store. They still use their appliances and (one) car until they simply cannot be resurrected for yet another go. This generation has lived with everything at their fingertips and when something seemingly threatens that golden way of life or cycle of things, they think the world is spiraling out of control. Time to see a therapist!

My Bible still says that the Earth is the Lord's and all that is in it, and while the Body of Christ is on the earth, it's not going to spiral out of control. Those are my opinions, everyone else may not hold those particular religious views!
