State Sen. Tom Buford, R-Nicholasville, who cast the lone negative vote, called it "a little baby step." He said funneling an additional $50 million a year into the pension system doesn't do enough to shore it up.

"If our goal is to achieve mediocrity in the pension plan, we have succeeded," Buford said.



I suspect he is right but I also suspect they have no real clue where to get the money to start with. I need to do some research on just where we stand nationally on our social programs. I think we are letting a lot of money go to people other states do not. All these people are moving here for some reason and it ain't jobs.
