Other estimates are as low as 60% in some areas - particularly Ohio and western PA.
This is absolutely no surprise to me. The Obama campaign is desperate because if they weren't we here in NE Ohio and all along western PA wouldn't be seeing McCain/Palin signs disappearing left and right. I've seen republican campaign signs go missing before, it comes with the territory, but I've NEVER seen it as bad as I've seen it this election. Those are not acts of people convinced they are winning, those are acts of desperation and nobody will convince me otherwise. As for the percentage of Hillary supporters voting for Obama.... the MSM would have you believe that a HUGE majority, 80-90% have decided to vote along party lines so Obama gets their vote. That is simply NOT true here in Ohio or western PA and since I see our area as a microcosim of midwest America I believe this easily transitions to most other midwestern states with a lot of Hillary supporters.
I can't address her comments about Palin and how it affected the Obama campaign inside but I can tell you that the Hillary supporters I know (even though a few believe McCain was trying to play them as suckers) would just as soon vote for McCain & Palin because of the female factor than cast their vote for Obama. For as much as this election has overtones of racism (through primarily false cries from the Obama camp) this election has been affected by the undertones of sexism. Believe me when I tell ya's a LOT of democrat females are still furious over their partys' about face in regards to Hillary. This election is no slam dunk for Obama, never has been and they know it.
