First and foremost, that stimulus package, whatever amount it reaches, is not going to get much return on the dollar. Some of those recepients like education and road, bridge and other building projects will not advance revenues but eat into even more of them as they progress. And regardless of the talk about no earmarks and pork, many of the projects that will be considered are pork projects. They'll just be bunched under other names to make them more compatible to the average tax payer, who doesn't pay much attention to the bills that are passed but only in what's in it for them. I read where there will still be funds solicited from the stimulus package for stadiums and conference centers, among other pork projects, no matter what fancy name they're given.
