A | A | A The company that runs a low-security federal prison in West Texas says the second riot in less than two months at the facility has ended without serious injuries.

The GEO Group Inc. issued a statement Monday saying the disturbance at the Reeves County Detention Center started Saturday and ended with a "positive outcome."

The statement didn't specify when the riot ended.

Reports over the weekend indicated as many as a thousand inmates were involved in the disturbance.

The Boca Raton, Fla.-based company said the facility's physical plant was damaged but that there were no threats to the public.

Facility staff and law-enforcement personnel are working to get the inmate population to secure housing.

The weekend disturbance involved the first and second units at the facility.

A December riot that ended with minor injuries involved the facility's third unit. GEO Group said the disturbances appeared unrelated.

Pecos is about 430 miles west of Dallas.

the second riot in 2 months, I think they better get a new company to run that place.
