I cannot believe what is going on over there. The vile comments, the threats, the uncontroled hate that erupts as they attack, uh, John McCain?????? NOPE! It is Obama haters v. Clinton haters. This is unbelievable stuff! I am not so sure that the democrats aren't stuck in a time warp! Does 1968 come to mind. I remember 1968. It was not a good year for the donkey party. A lot, I don't mean just a few, a lot of them say that unless Hillary gets the VP slot, they will not vote for the Obama and whoever ticket! They are ready to bolt and many come right out and say they will vote for McCain. If a significant % of democrats stray to the elephant side, say 5 tp 8 percent, it will be a McCain victory in November! This is my hope, Obama picks General Clark for his running mate. This guy is as popular with the American people as day old gravey is with a six year old kid!

Just as the evidence begins to mount that maybe we are moving into a cooling period (April colder than normal in USA) McCain goes off on a climate change tour! Political Reality Check: McCain maybe following a wise strategy here. The conservative base (folks like me) and especially 2nd Amendment rights advocates (folks like me) have really no where to go; I will not throw away my vote in a useless gesture and will vote the lesser of the two evils (of the two that have a chance to win, that is). Obama is not the lesser of the two evils! McCain can pull the disaffected women and well over 1/2 of the independents, and the conservatives and ride the horse into the White House. He may also help us pick up seats, or maybe just hold on to seats in the House and Senate. This is one screwy, but interesting election. I am having fun with it, yet I recognize the seriousness of it. Especially a President Obama picking justices for the Supreme Court!
