I was just wondering if we had many bridge players on this board. I have been playing the game for about 55 years and it is something that is taxing to the
brain and a challenge any time you deal a deck of cards. I find that stimulating and a great way to spend a few hours each week. I play two or three times a
week, all but one involved in what is called "duplicate bridge" which pits the players directly against each other. In other words all players play
the same hands and you are judged by how well you did with the hand vs. how the other players did. I usually finish in the top third and last Tuesday my
partner and I came in first in a group of 20 players. Of course it is always fun to finish first in anything and these days it is bridge for me. Since I can no
longer use my legs to play golf I have to find other ways to compete. I cannot be happy unless I am competing in something. That may sound a bit screwy but
that's the way it has always been with me and I hope and pray I never lose the determination to keep on competing.
So, do you play bridge? If not maybe you should consider learning the game.
