PHOENIX CHAPTER HONORS SHERIFF JOE ARPAIO
RECENTLY RE-ELECTED LAW DOG APPRECIATES RELATIONSHIP OF MUTUAL RESPECT WITH MINUTEMAN CIVIL DEFENSE CORPS
It was a great way to finish the year for the MCDC Phoenix chapter. Sheriff Joe, with his direct delivery and sometimes sardonic rhetoric had the crowd captivated during his 30-minute presentation. The 75 or so who attended enjoyed the hospitality of the welcoming team, other like minded groups and activists also accepted the open MCDC invitation to hear about our Minuteman activities and to hear Joe tell us how to get the job done.Regardless of what you think about Joe he gets the job done. The media may be fixated on portraying his crime suppression sweeps as anti-immigrant, but let me tell you his deputies and posse are constantly battling the hard core criminals on a daily basis.
Attendees when they were not laughing with Joe were excited and many of us are in great anticipation of Joe announcing that he and Maricopa County Attorney Andrew Thomas are going to turn up the heat in 2009..
No specific details yet, but Joe will make a big January announcement after he is sworn in for his next term as the nation's toughest sheriff.
