I have never been a big supporter of lots of rules. As a matter of fact we don't have a set of rules per se. However, we have an occasional visitor who
decides to change the way we operate. And the first thing they always want to argue about is the word "ATTACK." Well, we decided to change that word
to "INSULT" and give a simple definition of what it means. Our goal remains the same, to provide a board where decent people can gather, discuss and
debate any subject, as ladies and gentlemen.
I was taught many years ago (by a fine lady, my mother) that being a lady or a gentlemen encompasses decency, courtesy and generally good conduct. In keeping with those we devised the following simple definitions for what we mean. I hope this clears up once and for all time what we expect on this board.
I have always wanted this board to be a fun place to visit for everyone and at all times. And for nine years it has generally been that kind of place. Hopefully this will help accomplish those goals into the future.
No Baiting
GBU definition; starting an argument just for the sake of an argument.
No Personal Insults
GBU defnition; no flaming simply for the purpose of being rude. Respect for others is expected at all times.
No Vulgar Language
GBU definition; Self explanatory.
