In the negotiations for Obamacare there are the following:
Democrats
Republicans
Lobbyists for the drug companies
Lobbyists for the insurance companies
Lobbyists for the hospitals
Lobbyists for the doctors
Seems to be someone missing. Where are the people who will protect the best interests of the American people/taxpayers? I dont see any.
Our local liberal state rep just returned from a conference run by Organizing for America the group set up by the DNC to support Obama's policies and he said that 38 states including Kentucky voted to support Obama's health care reform. What he didnt elaborate on is the fact that these were all Democrats there and their "vote" means squat. They gave some bleeding heart stories about small companies having to lay workers off because their health care costs got too high.
What they didnt say is those same companies will probably be the first ones to push their workers into the public insurance plan so they can make a bigger profit and no longer have to worry about taking care of their employees. They are going to dump them on the American taxpayers.
He said the Organizing for America is planning on setting up phonebanks and going door to door throughout the United States to push Obama's health care reform. I sure hope the socialists come to my door. They wont want to hear what I am going to tell them. I guess I wont get any health care from Obama after that. I cannot wait for 2010 and vote them all out.
WHO will fight for us? I guess we will have to do it ourselves. Anyone up for a massive march on Washington? I sure am. Get me on the bus.
