Native American organization sues Braves for embarrassment
A Native American organization has sued the Atlanta Braves for embarrassment. The Association of Native American Peoples says the Braves horrendous showing in the playoffs throughout the last decade has given indigenous Americans a bad image.
The Atlanta Braves have conducted a systematic and continuous campaign to smear the good name of Native Americans through their uninspired and dreadful play each October, said Edwin Parker, President of the ANAP. They have shown no proof that they are not purposely trying to lose in order to hurt our reputation.
The suit seeks more than $20 million in damages from the Braves organization if they are not able to win the World Series next year.
