If I were going to choose one of the most important unreported political news stories of past 80 years it would have to be about the progressive movement in government, and the effect that Congress has had in implementing Progressivism with unconstitutional legislation over the years.
When we elect a member to the House of Representatives, we know they are supposed to be bound by their oath of office to uphold the Constitution of the United States of America, and the laws, which shall be made in Pursuance thereof; are the Supreme Laws of the Land.
Article I Section 8 contains 18 clauses that can be used individually and explained as per Rules of
ConÂgress's Rule 7 (c)(1). States; A bill or joint resolution may not be introduced unless the sponsor submits for printing in the Congressional Record a statement citing as specifically as practicable the power or powers granted to Congress in the Constitution to enact the bill or joint resolution. The statement shall appear in a portion of the Record designated for that purpose and be made publicly available in electronic form by the Clerk
But the reality is! They do not adhere to their oath of office, the enumerated powers of Congress or Rule 7 (c)(1), but instead show contempt for their constituents trust by introducing unconstitutional resolutions and bills.
This year there has been 4,974 bills that fail to comply with Rule. 7 © (1), and while we think we vote for the members of Congress, the legislation they pass are what we must obey. We are totally mistaken. These bills or acts of Congress, when signed into law, by the President are referred to various administrations, services, departments, agencies, etc. and these unelected bureaucrats write the laws we must obey
